About 215 days across several months. Compare with the Age Calculator if one of these dates is a birth date.

Suggested next steps

  • Toggle “Include end day” if you are counting inclusive business or rental days.
  • Use the weekday count when estimating workdays (weekends excluded).
  • Try the Age Calculator if you need years/months/days from a birth date instead of two arbitrary dates.

How the date difference calculation works

Enter a start date and an end date. The calculator computes:

  • Total days — whole calendar days between the dates
  • Calendar span — years, months, and leftover days
  • Whole weeks — total days ÷ 7 (integer)
  • Weekdays — Mondays through Fridays in the counted range

Optional Include end day adds one day for inclusive ranges (for example, some booking or notice-period conventions). Results refresh as you change either date — no submit button.

Rule-based tips explain whether the span is short (days/weeks) or multi-year, and suggest pairing with the Age Calculator when one date is a birthday.

Worked example

Start: 1 January 2026. End: 4 August 2026. Inclusive end day: off.

  1. Total days from Jan 1 to Aug 4 = 215 days
  2. Calendar span = 0 years, 7 months, 3 days
  3. Whole weeks = 30 (215 ÷ 7)
  4. Weekdays ≈ the Monday–Friday days inside that window

If you enable inclusive end day, total days becomes 216.

Methodology and notes

All math runs in your browser with the Gregorian calendar. Time of day is ignored — both inputs are calendar dates. For legal deadlines, always confirm whether your jurisdiction counts the start day, end day, or business days only.

Frequently asked questions

The tool counts calendar days from the start date to the end date in your local timezone. By default the end date itself is not added (the difference from Monday to Tuesday is 1 day). Turn on “Include end day” when you need inclusive counting.
